I am no professional makeup artist, but I do enjoy doing my own makeup and trying out new products. I love finding products that are comparable to the popular, more expensive brands. As a Mama, I know how important it is to budget your money because diapers, formula and all things for baby are not cheap. Below are products I own and swear by, that you can get at a fraction of the cost.
- Tarte and Elf offer a similar product to the popular Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. My favorite is Tarte’s which is called the Glow Wand. It is about $30 compared to Charlotte Tilbury which is $46. I use it over my foundation/tinted moisturizer and it adds the most gorgeous glow. I also own e.l.f.’s version which is called the Halo Glow Filter. This product can be used by itself but I use it over my foundation or tinted moisturizer for an added glow. It is only $14! I will say I personally prefer the Tarte Glow wand but e.l.f. does offer a nice alternative.
2. Up Next is clear eyebrow gel. I was using the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear eyebrow gel for the longest time but didn’t love the price. I went on a hunt for a similar product and landed on NYX Control Freak clear eyebrow gel. It cost $5.99 compared to the Anastasia Beverly Hills version at about $22. I promise you it gets the job done. My eyebrows stay in place all day until I wash my face at night.
3. Next up, let’s talk eyelash primer. I didn’t always use primer before applying my mascara and I realized that was a huge mistake. It adds so much volume so don’t skip this step! Lancome Cils Booster is an amazing product but it is also a bit pricey at $30. I’ve been using L’Oreal Voluminous Base which is about $10 and honestly very similar to Lancome’s version.
These are just a few of my favorite makeup dupes! Let me know if you try any and if you would like another post sharing more finds!
XOXO,
Kimmie
